The latest version of Word doesn't have a tools menu. You can find the same commands by typing in the search box at the top of the Word window.
Here's a list of some common commands and where they now are:

Spelling and grammar: On the Home menu, select Editor.

Word count: The words and characters are displayed in the lower-left corner of the window.

Tracking, Comments, Translate, Language: These are all on the Review tab.

Autocorrect: On the File menu, select Options > Proofing > Autocorrect Options.

Templates: On the File menu, select Home > More templates. You can find more at create.microsoft.com.
