Turn object anchors on or off

1. Select the File menu and select Options.

2. On the Display tab, select or clear the Object anchors check box.

1. On the Word menu, select Preferences.

2. Under Word preferences, select View.

3. Under Show in Document, select or clear the Object anchors check box.

Turning object anchors on or off isn't currently possible in Word for the web. You can turn object anchors on or off in the desktop app.

• To open it, at the top of the ribbon, select Editing > Open in Desktop.
