Some customers are unable to open email attachments in the OneDrive for Android mobile app due to needing access. Additionally, some PDFs will not open due to needing permission.

How to fix the error message "To read files from device, go to device settings and give OneDrive access to your device storage"

  1. On your Android device go to Settings > Permission Manager > Files and Media

  2. Select OneDrive in the app list and choose Deny.

  3. Go back to OneDrive and open the file again.

  4. At the prompt, select Allow or Enable permissions.
