SharePoint in Microsoft 365

Page anchors (or bookmarks) are automatically added to Heading 1, Heading 2, and Heading 3 styles.

  1. On a SharePoint page, point your mouse at a heading in a Text web part. A link symbol appears, indicating a page anchor is present:

    The hyperlink symbol.

  2. Right-click the symbol, then select Copy link address (or Copy link) to copy the hyperlink of the bookmark.

  3. Paste the copied link wherever you want to, such as a chat or email message, to share it with someone.

Tip: To insert the link in a SharePoint page, edit the page, put the cursor where you want to insert the link, then click the link button on the toolbar. Paste the link in the link in the Address box, then specify the text to display, and select Save.
