Note:Â The new Microsoft Planner is currently rolling out to customers and your experience might look different than what's described in this article. The steps in this article will be updated soon. Learn more about the new Planner in Frequently asked questions about Planner.
Calendar view helps you plan and track work based on dates, making it easy to see what’s coming up and how tasks, including recurring tasks, fit into your schedule.Â
What Calendar view showsÂ
Calendar view displays tasks by their start dates and due dates, so you can:Â
-
See upcoming work across days and weeks
-
Spot busy periods and schedule gaps
-
Understand timing without opening each task
Tip:Â You can switch between a weekly or monthly view of your calendar.Â
Manage unscheduled tasksÂ
-
View tasks without start and due dates under Unscheduled tasks.
-
Drag an unscheduled task to the calendar or assign a start or due date to schedule it.
Work with recurring tasksÂ
Recurring tasks appear in Calendar view as individual occurrences, so you can see when each instance is happening. However, you can only modify details of the active recurring task. To learn more about recurring tasks, see Recurring tasks in Planner.Â
Note: You can change the visibility of future recurring tasks by selecting the Show future recurring tasks toggle on the calendar's Filter icon.Â
