When you add a modern page to a site, you add and customize web parts, which are the building blocks of your page. This article focuses on the Agent link web part.
The Agent link web part enables site owners to place an agent on a SharePoint page. Clicking on the link opens the agent in the pane next to the main page.
It’s a lightweight, flexible solution for providing contextual help using agents within your site and improving discoverability and access to agents where users need it most.
Where to find It
The Agent link web part appears under a new category titled AI in the web part toolbox. Look for the name Agent link.
Key features
-
Flexible placement: Add a link to any custom agent directly on your page.
-
Contextual assistance: Click the link to open the agent in the pane that opens alongside the main page. The link enables users to use the agent without leaving the page.
-
Easier to find: Makes it simple for users to discover and use agents right when they need to use it.
-
License: When users without access click to open the side pane, a message appears indicating they do not have access. Links to agents only work for users with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, or for users in organizations that have set up the Microsoft 365 PAYG meter.
