How to create Workback Plans using Channel Agent
Note: Channel Agent for Teams channels is currently in public preview, and features are likely to change. To learn more about Microsoft's public preview program, see Get early access to new features in Microsoft Teams.
A Workback Plan helps you organize tasks and milestones backward from a deadline. With Channel Agent, you can quickly generate a detailed, actionable plan by providing a goal and a target date.
Create a Workback Plan using Channel Agent
-
In Microsoft Teams, go to the channel where Channel Agent is active.
-
In the channel’s compose box, @mention the Channel Agent, provide a goal and a deadline, and ask it to create a Workback Plan.
-
Example prompt: @EngineeringChannelAgent, can you help us prepare for the monthly engineering review next week?
-
-
The agent responds with a list of milestones and tasks, including due dates.
-
You can @mention the Channel Agent again to request changes.
-
Once satisfied, save the plan.
-
When saved, Channel Agent adds the plan to the Planner board linked to the channel.
What happens when you save the plan
-
Goals and tasks are saved to the Planner plan linked with Channel Agent.
-
All Workback Plans created from the channel are stored in the linked plan, organized by goals.
