FIX: TFS 2010 takes a long time to save a work item

Applies To
TFS 2010 Service Pack 1

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You use a user account to connect to Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010.
  • The user account is a member of many TFS groups.
  • You try to save a work item in a team project.

In this scenario, it takes longer than expected to save the work item. For example, TFS 2010 may take 20 seconds to save the work item.

Note This issue does not occur if the user account is not a member of many TFS groups.
