An update is available that resolves an issue in which you may receive a Stop error message that resembles the following after you try to upgrade a Microsoft Surface RT device from Windows RT to the release version of Windows RT 8.1:

This update will be dynamically integrated into the installation process when you upgrade to the release version of Windows RT 8.1. Note If you already experienced this issue and your Surface RT device needs to be recovered, go to the following Microsoft webpage for more information about how to create a recovery USB drive and how to use a Surface RT recovery image:
