INTRODUCTION
This article describes a country-specific update that is available for the changes of File Validation Utility (FVU) 3.9 for electronic TDS returns and electronic TCS returns in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 with the India localization layer installed.
More Information
The current version of e-files that are generated by Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 are not compliant with the new FVU version 3.9. After apply this hotfix, you can generate e-file for 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ that is compliant with FVU version 3.9.

Rounding off
Users should make that under the following location:
General ledger > Setup > Withholding tax > Withholding tax codes > Calculationhe "Rounding off" and "Rounding form" fields are set appropriately to compute tax in whole numbers as FVU 3.9 will not validate final tax values that contain paisa values.
TAN registration number
Additional field for TAN registration number added at General ledger >> Setup >> Enterprise tax registration numbers
Select tax = Direct; Registration number type = CompanyMinor head of payment
Minor head of payment related field added at Accounts payable > Journal > Payment journal > Lines > Withholding tax > Challan information.
Remittance details
Nature of remittance, 15 CA number, country of residence of deductee and transaction type related fields added to the various transaction forms and related setup forms added under General ledger > Setup > Withholding tax > India
Deductee concession details
Details of the concession certificate can be maintained in the new threshold definition forms under General ledger > Setup > Withholding tax

Restart requirement
You must restart the Application Object Server (AOS) service after you apply the hotfix.
File information
The Hindi version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
