Symptoms
In Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, when you open a presentation that was created in Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 or in Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, the text box does not resize to fit the text correctly.

Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

Locate and then select the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common -
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click Key.

Type Draw, and then press ENTER.

LocateĀ and then select the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Draw -
On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.

Type ConvertRRectCalloutToFreeformForInscribedRect, and then press ENTER.

In the Details pane, right-click ConvertRRectCalloutToFreeformForInscribedRect, and then click Modify.

In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.

Exit Registry Editor.
