If the app is searching for your adapter, first make sure your device is connected to the adapter, then disconnect the adapter and reconnect it. Here’s how:

  1. Select the action center  in the taskbar.

  2. Select Connect. The app will refresh when it's connected to your adapter. If the adapter doesn't appear, your device isn't connected. For more info on connecting your adapter, go to Use the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.

  3. Select the name of your adapter and select Disconnect.

  4. Select action center .

  5. Select Connect, and then select the name of your adapter from the list of results to reconnect your device to it.
