This article describes update 4484477 for Microsoft Project 2016 that was released on August 4, 2020.
Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see What version of Office am I using?).
Improvements and fixes
This update fixes the following issues:
-
There's no warning information when you select the Refresh button under the Engagements tab, and you have new engagements that have not been saved. You should see the message "You have unsaved changes to some engagements. Refreshing will cause you to lose these changes. Do you want to continue refreshing the engagements?".
-
The TaskDependencies.Add method fails when the following conditions are true:
-
-
Project is connected to the server.
-
You define comma (,) as the decimal separator in locale settings and you have Project's display language set to, for example, German.
-
The project is saved to the server.
-
The Lag parameter of the method is specified, and its value doesn't equal a whole number. For example, 2,5 vs. 2.
-
-
From within Project Web App, when you open a project in Project Professional, you see an error message like the following:
"Project Professional must be running online before your project can be opened. Configure Project to connect to Project Web App and try again."
This problem occurs when your Project Web App URL ends with ".com" that's similar to "http://pwa.contoso.com".
-
After you save a project as a PDF or XPS file to a document library, the PDF or XPS file doesn't exist in the document library.
