This article describes update 4475544 for Microsoft Project 2016 that was released on August 6, 2019.

Be aware that the update in the Microsoft Download Center applies to the Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2016. It doesn't apply to the Office 2016 Click-to-Run editions, such as Microsoft Office 365 Home (see What version of Office am I using?).

Improvements and fixes

This update fixes the following issues:

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You open a given project by using the Microsoft Installer edition of Project 2016.

    • You switch to a Task Usage type view.

    • The view in the timephased portion includes the ACWP and BCWP earned value fields.

    • On a summary task for a given period, you note the ACWP and BCWP values.

    • You open the same project with a subscription version of Project 2016 (also known as a click-to-run edition).

    • You view the same timephased ACWP and BCWP values during the same period.

In this situation, you notice that the subscription version shows correct values. For example, you view the timephased values on the project summary task for the period and in the MSI edition, you see:

$154.96, $0.00, $0.00

In the subscription version, you see:

$154.96, $9,660,884.17, $10,123,596.17

  • Consider the following scenario:

    • You have a test Project Web App site in your test environment and a production site in your production environment.

    • The two sites have the same site ID.

    • In Project, you have server profiles that point to both instances.

In this case, when you select to edit an enterprise calendar in PWA, Project starts. But you may find that the wrong calendar has been edited.

Note To fix this issue completely, you also need to install 3114852 together with this update.
