Summary

This update for Azure Stack version 1902 includes updates to VM provisioning for Linux images. No new features are being introduced in this update. Important changes include the following:

  • Updated VM Linux Agent to enable deployment of Linux distros from syndicated and custom images in local Marketplace.

Symptoms

Provisioning of Linux VM with WA Linux agent (versions between 2.2.20 and 2.2.35) failing on Azure Stack.

Cause

Missing tag expected by newer agents.

Resolution

Add support for the expected tag during VM provisioning.

Hotfix information

Prerequisites

To apply this hotfix, you must have at least version 1.1902.0.69 installed.

Important: As outlined in the Release Notes for the 1902 update, be sure to follow the instructions in the Prerequisites section on running Test-AzureStack (with specified parameters) and resolve any operational issues found, including all warnings and failures. Also review active alerts and resolve any that require action.
