This article describes a black screen issue if the Camera app can be started by swiping down on the lock screen in Windows 8.1. The update has prerequisites.
Symptoms
Assume that your settings allow the Camera app to start by swiping down on the lock screen in Windows 8.1, so that swiping up and down may cause the Camera app and the touch keyboard to appear at the same time. In this situation, when you push the power button two times, the system resumes to an unresponsive black screen together with only the Camera app icon visible in the lower-left.

To resolve this issue, we have released an update for Window 8.1. Even though this issue has only been observed in Windows 8.1, the update also applies to Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows RT 8.1.
