Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

You run Active Directory Rights Management Services (AD RMS) on a Windows Server 2012 R2-based server by using an Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) server for a federation-based trust.

You upgrade the AD RMS authentication from using the AD FS agent to using Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) on the server.

An RMS client computer uses WIF to send a request together with a whr parameter to the AD RMS server.
In this scenario, the client computer receives a redirection URL that has the whr parameter appended to it. Therefore, the browser window becomes blank.
Resolution
To resolve this issue, install the following update rollup:
2975719 August 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2
