Symptoms
Consider the following scenario:

Draft messages are created by Visual Basic Scripting (VBScript) in a shared mailbox Draft folder in the Microsoft Outlook 2016 client on a computer.

A user is granted full access and send on behalf permissions for the shared mailbox, and the mailbox is automatically added to their Outlook profile.
-
The user sends the draft messages on behalf of the mailbox in the Outlook 2016 client on the same or a different computer.
In this scenario, the user receives a non-delivery report (NDR) message that resembles the following:
From: shared_mailbox_name
Sent: date time
To: Test@contoso.com
Subject: Undeliverable: TEST
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject: TEST
Sent: date time
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
Display_name on
The recipient has been deleted or has no e-mail address.
Cause
This issue occurs because detection of the message in Outlook leaves unresolved recipients when the EntryID or Address type property of the message is not populated correctly.
Resolution
Exchange Server 2016
To resolve this issue, install Cumulative Update 10 for Exchange Server 2016 or a later cumulative update for Exchange Server 2016.
