The cash donation service enables you to use your own payment instrument, such as a credit card, to make donations.

In the Give with Bing program, you can redeem Microsoft Rewards points, and Microsoft makes a corresponding donation. For cash donations, you use your own payment instrument to make donations to nonprofits through the services of Benevity, a third party that facilitates the donations. Microsoft is not involved in the transaction for cash donations.

No, you can only use the cash donation link to donate to the nonprofit that you have selected for your points donation.

Microsoft works with a third party, Benevity, to offer an extensive list of more than 1 million registered charities around the world. Benevity also evaluates the eligibility of each organization. Microsoft or Benevity may change the list of eligible nonprofits at any time, at our discretion. If a nonprofit is removed from the eligibility list, allocated donations will be redirected to another nonprofit.

Microsoft works with a partner, Benevity, to facilitate cash donations using your payment instrument. Cash donations to nonprofit entities are made to the American Online Giving Fund (AOGF), a donor advised fund, with a recommendation that they make a corresponding grant to the nonprofit you choose. Microsoft does not accept, transmit, or otherwise process funds related to any donation transaction you make through Benevity to AOGF. For the terms related to your donation with Benevity, see Benevity's Terms of Use.

Your donation will be made to a donor advised fund at America Online Giving Foundation (AOGF), through the services of Benevity, with a recommendation that they make a corresponding grant to the nonprofit you choose. AOGF, as the recipient of the donation, will consider your advice in determining which grants AOGF will make as a result of your donation. You have no legal power to compel AOGF, as recipient of the donation, to donate in accordance with such advice. AOGF or Benevity, may charge or deduct fees that result in your chosen nonprofit receiving an amount that is less than the amount of your donation.

In certain limited circumstances, donations may not be sent to the nonprofit you have advised. For the terms related to your donation with Benevity/AOGF, see Benevity's Terms of Use.

If you use the cash donation link made available through the Give with Bing portal, the donation to the American Online Giving Foundation (AOGF), a donor-advised fund, may be deductible. Please work with your tax professional to determine whether you can deduct the cash donation. Please see the email you receive from Benevity after you complete your donation for more information.

No. Voluntary cash donations are nonrefundable.

Neither Microsoft nor Benevity will charge you any fees in connection with making a cash donation, however, your selected nonprofit may receive an amount that is lower than the amount of your cash donation. Your entire cash donation will be made to a donor advised fund at America Online Giving Foundation (AOGF) with a recommendation that they make a corresponding grant to the nonprofit you choose. The nonprofit you choose may be charged credit card processing or other administrative fees by AOGF or Benevity as part of the nonprofit’s use of Benevity services. For the terms related to your donation with Benevity, see Benevity's Terms of Use.

Your donation receipt will be sent by Benevity or America Online Giving Foundation (AOGF) to the email address associated with your Microsoft account. The email will be sent by Benevity or AOGF, not by Microsoft.

Payments can fail for a number of reasons, but typically it means the credit card company declined the payment.
