Getting started with Microsoft Copilot
Microsoft Copilot is here to give advice, inspiration, and help when you need a hand. You can start a conversation to get clear answers to tough questions, turn ideas into images, or polish your writing until it shines.
How to get Microsoft Copilot on your device
You can access Copilot in the following ways:
Windows
On new Windows 11 PCs, the Copilot app should already be installed by default. You can find the Copilot app pinned to the taskbar or on the Start menu.
If the Copilot app is not already installed on your device, you can get it for free from the Microsoft Store.
Once installed, open the Copilot app and sign in using your personal Microsoft Account. Signing into Copilot gives you access to your chat history, image creation, longer conversations, voice interactions, and other Copilot features.
If needed, you can remove the Copilot app from Windows using the following steps:

Windows 11: Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps. Search for Copilot, select the … (More options) menu next to the app, and then select Uninstall to remove the app.

Windows 10: Open Settings > Apps. Search for Copilot, then select Uninstall to remove the app.

For IT administrators who need to manage the Copilot app for Windows in your organization, you can remove the copilot app using a PowerShell script.
MacOS
You can get the Copilot app for free from the Apple App Store. Once installed, you can sign in using your personal Microsoft Account, Apple ID, or Google Account. Signing into Copilot gives you access to your chat history, image creation, longer conversations, voice interactions, and other Copilot features.
Copilot requires macOS 14.0 or later and a Mac with an Apple M1 chip or later. Copilot for macOS is currently only available in the US, UK, and Canada, but it will roll out to other markets soon.
iOS or iPadOS
Copilot can be installed from the Apple App Store. Once installed, you can sign in using your personal Microsoft Account, Apple ID, or Google Account. Signing into Copilot gives you access to your chat history, image creation, longer conversations, voice interactions, and other Copilot features.
On an iPhone, the Copilot app requires iOS 16.0 or later. On an iPad, the Copilot app requires iPadOS 16.0 or later.
Android
Copilot can be installed from the Google Play Store. Once installed, you can sign in using your personal Microsoft Account, Apple ID, or Google Account. Signing into Copilot gives you access to your chat history, image creation, longer conversations, voice interactions, and other Copilot features.
Copilot for Android works on Android phones, tablets, and Chromebooks.
Web browser
Access Copilot using any modern browser by navigating to copilot.microsoft.com. You can then sign in using your personal Microsoft Account, Apple ID, or Google Account. Signing into Copilot gives you access to your chat history, image creation, longer conversations, voice interactions, and other Copilot features.
Other entry points
Some Copilot features are also accessible within Microsoft 365 apps, Microsoft Edge, WhatsApp, GroupMe, Line, and Viber.
