Summary

This article describes the Microsoft Excel 2010 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated August 28, 2012.

INTRODUCTION

Issues that this hotfix package fixes

  • Assume that you set the default save format to something other than the .xlsx file format in Excel 2010. You open an "Excel 97-2003 & Excel 5.0/95" (dual format) workbook and then click Save As to save the file. However, the default save format is still displayed as .xlsx in the Save As dialog box.

Note This issue does not occur when the Excel workbook is in read-only mode.

  • When you enable the AutoRepublish feature in a worksheet that has a chart, and then save the workbook, duplicate images of the chart appear in the HTML page.

  • Assume that you create a macro that includes a Range.RowHeight property. When you run the macro in an Excel 2010 file, the Range.RowHeight property returns incorrect values.

  • 2687326 Form control is displayed in the wrong position when you print a workbook in Excel 2010

  • 2687476 Excel workbook does not open when you double-click an .xslx file on a computer that has the new Office installed
