Summary
This article describes the Microsoft Office Visio 2007 issue that is fixed in the hotfix package that is dated December 13, 2011.
INTRODUCTION
Issue that this hotfix package fixes
When you try to type a Japanese character inside a shape in Visio 2007, the first English character that you type inside the shape is inserted unexpectedly. For example, when you type the English characters s and a inside the shape, the English character "s" and the undetermined Japanese character "あ" are inserted. However, the undetermined Japanese character "さ" should be inserted.
Note This issue specifically occurs when Visio 2007 is installed on a computer that is running Windows 7.
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problem described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
