Summary
This article describes the Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 issues that are fixed in the hotfix package that is dated April 24, 2012.
INTRODUCTION
Issues that this hotfix package fixes
-
Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 cannot validate the skill value for a user profile if the skill value shares a common string with an existing skill value.
-
Web Parts are closed occasionally in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 when you view the Web Part page.
-
Assume that you have permissions only for one folder in a document library. When you view the folder, the Change View menu is empty, and you cannot change the current view.
Resolution
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problems that are described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing the problems described in this article. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.

Prerequisites
To install this hotfix, you must have Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 3, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 2, or Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Service Pack 1 installed.
