Keeping your login information secure will sometimes require you to change a password. You can easily edit the passwords saved in Microsoft Edge.

Important: Changing the password in Microsoft Edge doesn't change the password for the website. You'll need to ensure that the password stored in Microsoft Edge matches the password you've set for the website.

  1. Go to Settings and more > Settings > Profiles > Passwords .

  2. Next to the password you want to change, select More actions , and then select Edit.

  3. When prompted, authenticate yourself to the operating system to get access to the password information.

  4. After you successfully authenticate yourself, in the Edit password dialog, update your password, and then select Done.
