Engage events overview

Events play an important role in shaping organizational culture and enhancing the employee experience. They help leaders to clarify strategy, align and inform employees, and boost engagement. Events also provide a platform for employees to share their voices and connect with peers across the organization.

Events in Viva Engage

Engage provides three different ways to host events in communities and storylines: broadcasts, meetings, and async events.

Broadcasts are a new and improved live event powered by Teams town hall, that you can deliver in Engage communities and storylines.
Meetings are exactly what they sound like: a Teams meeting for your community or storyline.
Async events can be used to conduct an event without a Teams online experience. Best for an in-person event or a text-only discussion like an ask-me-anything (AMA).
