Introduction

This article describes an issue that causes a memory leak when you create and remove items from a ListBox control in a Silverlight for Windows Embedded Compact 7 application. An update is available to resolve this issue. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

The Listbox control in this case uses a data template with data bindings in a Silverlight for Windows Embedded Compact 7 application. If you repeatedly create and remove items from the ListBox control, a memory leak occurs that eventually causes your program to crash. And if you use Performance Monitor to check the program, you find that the Heap Memory usage increases over time.

Resolution
