Symptoms
Assume that you use Microsoft Visual Studio 2015. When the installed Visual Studio Extensions listen to the VSWebSiteEvents.AssemblyReferencesEvents object, you experience poor performance and freezes in Visual Studio.
Cause
This issue occurs because the Visual Studio Extensions listen to the AssemblyReferenceEvents object that enables all the VSWebSiteEvents objects. This may cause computationally expensive code paths to be enabled even though they aren't being consumed.
