Ebrima is a typeface designed for African languages. It includes coverage for Nko, Ethiopic, Tifinagh, Vai, and Osmanya, as well as an extended character set in the Latin alphabet with diacritical marks and signs used in languages throughout Africa. Ebrima has been updated to include the Bamum script of Cameroon.
Ebrima was created by Microsoft as the default font in Windows for rendering African languages. Its Latin character set is based on the Segoe font. Ebrima has two weights, Regular and Bold, with no italic styles.
