Update Microsoft Edge through browser settings

Microsoft Edge checks for updates automatically, but you can manually check and install updates at any time.

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.

  2. Select Settings and more  in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Help and feedback, and then select About Microsoft Edge.

  4. Edge automatically checks for updates and installs them if available.

  5. If prompted, select Restart to complete the update.

Tip: You can also type edge://settings/help in the address bar to go directly to the update page.

Update Microsoft Edge using Windows Update

On Windows devices, Microsoft Edge updates may also be delivered through Windows Update.

  1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update.

  2. Select Check for updates.

  3. Install any available updates and restart your device if prompted.

Download and install the latest version of Microsoft Edge

If you can’t update Edge from settings or Windows Update, you can download the latest version directly.

  2. Select Download and run the installer.
