Introduction
This article describes Hotfix Rollup 2688027 for the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) on Windows Vista SP2 or Windows Server 2008 SP2. This hotfix rollup is available to fix stability, reliability, and performance issues in the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2.

Issues that this hotfix rollup resolves
Issue 1: StreamWriter.Write method crashes after 2GB of data is written on an East Asian language version of 32-bit WindowsConsider the following scenario:

You run a Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 application or a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 application on an East Asian language version of 32-bit Windows.

The application tries to write more than 2 GB of data.
In this scenario, you receive the System.Argument.Exception exception. This issue occurs because the StreamWriter.Write method crashes.Issue 2: File Download issue in Internet Explorer 8 for a no-cache header request over SSLAssume that you have a computer that is running Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0. When a no-cache header is presented, and the request is made over SSL, Internet Explorer 8 may not respond to download files.
