This article describes an issue that occurs when the port proxy interface is removed in Windows 8.1, Windows RT 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2. You can fix this issue by using the update rollup in this article. 

Symptoms

The Svchost.exe process that holds the IP Helper service and some other services crashes when the port proxy interface is removed with the command of netsh interface portproxy delete [parameters].

Resolution

To fix this issue, install the May 2016 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, and Windows Server 2012 R2 (KB3156418).
