ISSUE

When an attachment is deleted from a message by using Microsoft Graph API, the attachment might still appear in new Outlook for Windows and Outlook on the web. If the user tries to open the attachment, they might see an error message that says there was a problem and the document can’t be opened.

After the user closes and reopens new Outlook or refreshes Outlook on the web, the attachment will no longer appear as expected.

STATUS: INVESTIGATING

The Outlook Team is investigating this issue for a fix. We will update this article when we have more information.

WORKAROUND

Close and reopen new Outlook for Windows or refresh Outlook on the web to update the attachment view.
