Summary

Cumulative update packages for Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2013 contain hotfixes for the SharePoint Foundation 2013 issues that were fixed since the release of SharePoint Foundation 2013.

Note This is build 15.0.4623.1001 of the cumulative update package.

We recommend that you test hotfixes before you deploy them in a production environment. Because the builds are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and security updates that were included with the previous SharePoint Foundation 2013 update package releases.

Resolution

Issues that this cumulative update package fixes

  • The Follow links on the URL without crawling the URL itself feature does not work.

  • When a SharePoint page is loaded by many instances at the same time, the CPU utilization may increase to 100 percent on the SharePoint server.

  • Assume that you type a new term to a taxonomy field (such as to the Ask Me About field) in the profile page on My Site. Then, you click outside the field, and then the term gets resolved and is underlined. In this situation, when you click inside the field and then click outside the field, the term is highlighted in red together with a dashed underline. Additionally, when you try to save the profile, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:

There are one or more errors with the data you have entered.

  • The value of the About me property on the "edit user profile" page may be blank when multiple HTML profile properties are defined and are editable.

  • Assume that you download a copy of the olso.html file. You change the name of the file, and then you upload it to the master page gallery. When you set it as the master page, the operation to change the look of the site may fail.

  • Assume that you open a SharePoint discussion board in SharePoint Designer. You edit the flat view of the discussion board, and then you save the discussion board to the SharePoint server. When you browse to the discussion board by using a web browser, the view of the discussion board is broken.

  • You cannot migrate to Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)-based claims authentication.
