This article describes update KB3054875 for Microsoft Office 2010. This update was released on June 9, 2015, and it has a prerequisite.

Improvements and fixes

Fixes the following issues:

  • When you open an Office 2010 application on a computer that uses a proxy server with basic authentication, a dialog box prompts you for basic authentication credentials. This occurs even though Office.com connectivity is disabled by Group Policy settings.

  • When you use the Application.GetSaveAsFilename method to set the default save-as file name in the Save As dialog box in Excel 2010, the file name is blank. This issue occurs if the default file name contains double quotation marks and non-default file name extensions.
