Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 fix release.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You install Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services (SSRS 2008 R2). Then, you configure the SSRS 2008 R2 report server to run in SharePoint Integrated mode.

  • You create a report that has a multivalued parameter that references a SharePoint document library. Then, you deploy the report to the SharePoint document library.

  • You configure an email subscription for the report and you select several different values for the parameter.

  • A user receives a subscription email message, and then the user clicks the hyperlink in the message to see the report.

In this scenario, the report is not displayed, and the user receives the following error message:

Report parameter values must be specified before the report can be displayed.

Cause

This issue occurs because SSRS 2008 R2 incorrectly generates the multivalued parameters in the hyperlink of the subscription email message.
