Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) fixes in one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security updates that were included with the previous SQL Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) update release.

Symptoms

Consider the following scenario:

  • You add a Map to a Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Reporting Services (SSRS 2008 R2) report.

  • You set the map visualization as Color Analytical Map.

  • You use custom polygon colors for a map polygon layer.

  • You use string values or literal values for the Start Value and the End Value of the custom color distribution buckets.

  • The number of the analytical value that is defined by the analytical dataset is less than the total number of custom color distribution buckets.

In this scenario, the custom color distribution is applied to the polygon areas on the map incorrectly.Notes

  • This issue does not occur if you use numeric values for the Start Value and the End Value of the custom color distribution buckets.

  • This issue does not occur if the analytical data is mapped one-to-one to the custom color distribution buckets.
