Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2012 fixes in one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security updates that were included with the previous SQL Server 2012 update release.

Symptoms

When you validate a large amount of data in SQL Server 2012 Master Data Services (MDS), you may experience poor performance in MDS. Additionally, the following message may be logged in the MDS trace log:

SQL Error Debug Info: Number: 50000, Message: Unable to acquire Lock, Server: <Name of MDS Server>, Proc: udp_SYSTEM_x_x_CHILDATTRIBUTES_ProcessRules, Line: 2356
