Symptoms
Assume that you create an entity sync relationship in Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Master Data Services (MDS).The entity sync may fail if the Name or Code attribute of the source entity contains any non-default value of the following attribute information:

Display Name
-
Description
-
Enable Change Tracking
Additionally, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
The last sync failed with error message: MDSERR200211 | Initial sync of the entity has failed. The target entity contains at least one attribute that does not match a source entity attribute. Name of the first attribute that does not match a source entity attribute: "Name".
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
