Symptoms
Assume that you use Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or 2017 with Master Data Services (MDS) feature enabled. You may notice that the different users can see the same model list in Version Management although these users have different permissions for each model.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:
