Symptoms
Assume that you back up a Microsoft SQL Server database that contains a memory-optimized filegroup through VSS based backup. In this scenario, you may notice that the database being backed up remains in frozen I/O state. Additionally, buffer latch time-outs occur for the database(s) with frozen I/O and a mini dump is generated.
Date\Time spid1053 I/O is frozen on database DatabaseName. No user action is required. However, if I/O is not resumed promptly, you could cancel the backup.
