Symptoms
Assume that you use PolyBase to run queries in Hadoop in SQL Server 2019. You may notice that the queries are unresponsive or receive an error message that resembles "The Remote Java Bridge has not been attached yet" when the launchpadd service is restarted or killed.
Note The issue exists only in SQL Server for Linux and Big Data Cluster.
Cause
This issue may occur because Remote Hadoop bridge process is not closed correctly.
Status
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Resolution
This issue is fixed in the following cumulative update for SQL Server:
