  • Cumulative update 3 to 19 (both inclusive) for SQL Server 2017

  • All versions before cumulative update 5 for SQL Server 2019

Symptoms

Assume that you use one of these SQL versions mentioned in the "Applies To" section. If you enable output verbose log for distribution agent, you will notice that the OUTPUT of the Distribution Agent contains summary information that does not include the following information:

Resolution

This issue is fixed in the following cumulative updates for SQL Server:

Each new cumulative update for SQL Server contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous cumulative update. Check out the latest cumulative updates for SQL Server:

Workaround

To work around this issue, you can define OutputVerboseLevel as part of Distribution agent profile parameters. For example, if Distribution agent is using default agent profile, create a new profile and add OutputVerboseLevel parameter with its value there. And then use that profile for distribution agent.
