SCSI log pages for an SCSI storage device have arbitrary data in the Parameter field. This issue occurs because the SCSI log page buffer in the Log Sense command descriptor block (CDB) is not zeroed out after allocation, and so the contents are random. Therefore, the ParameterPointer field retrieves a random value.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install the November 2014 update rollup for Windows RT 8.1, Windows 8.1, or Windows Server 2012 R2.
