Microsoft has released an update for Microsoft Skype for Business Basic 2016. The version number of this update is 16.0.4351.1001.   • Browser: Windows Internet Explorer 10 Internet, Windows Internet Explorer 9, Windows Internet Explorer 8, Windows Internet Explorer 7, or Mozilla Firefox

  • Memory: 2 gigabytes (GB) of RAM

Installation instructions

Installing the clientTo install the Skype for Business Basic 2016 client, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Download button, and then save the Lyncentry.msi file to your hard disk.

  2. Run the downloaded file to start the Setup program.

  3. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.

Note We recommend that you do not change the default settings.

Uninstalling the clientTo uninstall the Skype for Business Basic 2016 client, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click Programs.

  3. Under Programs and Features, click Uninstall a program.

  4. In the list of currently installed programs, right-click Skype for Business Basic 2016, and then click Uninstall.
