Introduction

This article describes a memory leak on Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based devices. The problem occurs when a Winsock socket is set to a listening state in an application.

An update is available to resolve this problem. Before you install this update, all previously issued updates for this product must be installed.

Symptoms

Assume that you have an application that creates sockets, binds the sockets, listens on the sockets, and then closes the sockets on a Windows Embedded Compact 2013-based device. When the application is run for each socket on which these operations are performed, a memory leak occurs.
