Latest updates for versions of Office that use Windows Installer (MSI)

This article describes update KB3101358 for Microsoft Office 2013, which was released on November 10, 2015. This update also applies to Office Home and Student 2013 RT. This update has a prerequisite.

Be aware that the update in Download Center applies to Microsoft Installer (.msi)-based edition of Office 2013. It doesn't apply to the Office 2013 Click-to-Run editions such as Microsoft Office 365 Home. (How to determine?)

Improvements and fixes

Fixes the following issues:

  • When a large metafile is used in Publisher 2013 and the zoom level is set to 600% or larger, the image isn't displayed clearly.

Note To fix this issue, install the update first and then follow the instructions in the Registry information section.

  • When you open a presentation that has a chart with certain formatting and elements such as up or down bars in PowerPoint 2013, PowerPoint 2013 crashes.
