OneDrive personal vault is not up to date

If you see the error message that your OneDrive personal vault isn’t up to date, follow these steps to unlock it and get up to date again.

  1. Unlock your OneDrive Personal Vault.

  2. Make sure you close any files stored in your Personal Vault.

  3. Wait for sync to complete. You may see this sync icon  .

    Tip: If you have a lot of large files, extend the time before Vault locks by selecting OneDrive Help and Settings icon then Settings from the menu, then Account, then Change your Personal Vault auto-lock time.

  4. Once sync is complete  , you can lock your OneDrive personal vault.
