The Viva Engage Report Conversations feature empowers users to report conversations and comments that don't follow organizational guidelines or policies. When users report conversations in their network, admins receive alerts to take appropriate action.

Report a conversation

  1. In the conversation, select the More icon  and select Report Conversation.

  2. Enter more details about your concern to help admins triage the issue.

  3. Submit the report.

Report conversation option on the More menu for a comment (report applies to the entire conversation, not just that comment)

After you submit the report, you may receive a notification from the network admins that lets you know when you can expect a response and what takes place after the report. You may also receive a link to the organization's network usage guidelines.

Important tips about reporting conversations

Keep these items in mind when considering whether to report a conversation:

  • Admins must enable the feature for their network; if users can't see the Report Conversation option, the feature is not turned on. This setting applies to the entire Viva Engage network and can't be modified by the user.

  • Users can report any conversation to which they have access, across public and private communities and storylines.

  • Users can report from the threadstarter or comments within a conversation. Admins can see the entire thread when they review reported content.

  • Reports are not anonymous.

  • Users aren't notified when admins take action in relation to their report.
