Symptoms
Consider the following scenario in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1):
-
You enable the Create depreciation adjustments with basis adjustments setting for a specific value model.
-
You enable the Automatically create depreciation adjustment amounts with disposal setting on the Fixed assets tab in the General ledger parameters dialog box.
-
You post a sale disposal for a fixed asset that uses the value model.
-
The system automatically creates a depreciation adjustment for the fixed asset transaction.
In this scenario, the ledger entries for the depreciation adjustment transactions are missing unexpectedly.

Validation of the application hotfix installation
To validate the installation of the application hotfix, open the SysHotfixManifest class in the Application Object Tree (AOT). Then, verify that there is a method whose name includes the Knowledge Base (KB) article number of the installed hotfix. Additionally, you can cross-check the affected objects by comparing the KBXXXXXX.txt file against the objects in the AOT. By doing this, you can make sure that the objects are changed correctly in the SYP layer or in the GLP layer.
Note The XXXXXX placeholder represents the KB article number of the installed hotfix.
