Trim your Stream videos
You can trim your videos—live events, Microsoft Teams meeting recordings, and uploaded videos—to cut right to the important content, right in Microsoft Stream.
Note: For live events, you'll have the option to trim as the event ends. If you choose not to trim at the end of the event, you can always return to the video and trim it later.
Trim
You can trim uploaded videos, Microsoft Teams meeting recordings, and live events.

In the video you want to trim, select More options
.

Select Trim video. (You can access this option from both the main page for a video, and the list view under the My content > Videos tab.)

Set the trim points by dragging the trim handles.

You can select any point in the video reel and play to see where you want to trim.
You'll see a playhead once you click on the reel. You can drag the trim handles to snap to the playhead if that's where you want to trim the video. -
Select Play to preview the trimmed version.

Select Apply. Your video will be trimmed and the unwanted content will be permanently removed. Trimming time varies based on the length and resolution of your video.

Trim is not available in all browsers. To use Trim, please use one of these browsers:
